Facebook now known as ‘Meta’ has recently tweaked it’s policy on running ads on crypto as Facebook had its own plans of launching a cryptocurrency. The move of allowing to run crypto ads comes after Facebook has failed to launch it’s own digital currency.
“We’re doing this because the cryptocurrency landscape has continued to mature and stabilize in recent years and has seen more government regulations that are setting clearer rules for their industry,” the company said in a statement quoted by CNBC.
Henry Love, a former employee on Facebook’s small business team, said the company’s new policy is huge for the crypto industry and will allow more retail investors to access cryptocurrencies than ever before.
However, Meta will continue to reject cryptocurrency ads from companies that do not submit one of the 27 regulatory licenses that Meta is accepting.
