The Government of Ukraine’s Aid for Ukraine crypto website to raise funds for humanitarian aid programs amidst its war with Russia has collected over $55 million since its launch.  This donation platform is the result of a collaboration between the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and Everstake.

Here’s what we know so far:

  • The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced the launch of the official website, “Aid For Ukraine” that will raise funds to support the Ukrainian armed forces. This marks the first-ever instance of a cryptocurrency exchange directly cooperating with a public financial entity to provide a conduit for crypto donations.
  • Mykhailo Fedorov, vice prime minister of Ukraine, tweeted on Monday, confirming the launch of the official website, where any person from around the world can make cryptocurrency donations to Ukraine.
  • The Aid For Ukraine website has listed all the crypto addresses and bank account information for the government of Ukraine for donation. Donors can make donations in several cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), ethereum (ETH), tether (USDT), polkadot (DOT), solana (SOL), dogecoin (DOGE), and monero (XMR). The Ukrainian government is also accepting fiat donations in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and CAD.
