Tesla is likely to restart accepting bitcoin as a payment once environmental targets are met. Musk is waiting for bitcoin mining to become eco-friendly by using renewable energy at least by 50 percent or more.
Tesla stopped accepting crypto currency in May citing environmental concerns.
This in fact went on to become one of the reasons for Bitcoin’s fall in the first half of 2021.
Musk who recently spoke at the virtual Bitcoin event “The ₿ Word” with fellow panelists Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood also revealed his aerospace tech company SpaceX’s investment in BTC. He also shared that he personally holds Ethereum and Dogecoin.
