The Batman, one of the oldest comic book series of DC is joining the bandwagon of NFTs along with Warner Bros and Palm NFT Studio. ‘The Bat Cowl NFT Collection’ which is set to release on April 26 will draw from the DC character’s 83-year legacy and will comprise 200,000 one-of-kind 3D-rendered NFTs.

When Marvel Comics launched Spider-Man NFT Collectibles in August, it was sold out in a few minutes bringing them a profit of $4 million. The non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of Batman will be priced at $300 apiece, which implies a $60 million profit for Warner Bros and DC Comics.

The NFT release comes in the wake of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, which opened to a healthy $128.5 million at the domestic box office. This is the biggest debut in 2022 so far and makes The Batman only the second film to make $100 million or more on opening weekend since the pandemic began. The movie has made $710 million worldwide.

The Batman-based NFT collection will be minted on the Palm platform, an Ethereum-based blockchain solution, which claims lesser energy consumption and lower cost.

The NFTs will give the buyers a 3D recreation of Batman’s famed mask, or cowl, along with other benefits like exclusive access to web3 experiences and access to a secret DC Universe fan forum that is open only to NFT holders.
